ABOUT EUROAMERICAN HOCKEY

I have had a very interesting and quite unique hockey career. At 5’9” (178cm), 175 pounds (81 kilos), I am considered to be a small, speedy player. I played all positions growing up in Minnesota, but focused on the center position. At the University of Minnesota, I played forward, but mainly left wing. My career veered in a different direction when I went to Europe to play professionally. Teams were looking for a player who could skate and play defense as well as score.

I converted to defense and this type of play really fit the European style of hockey. It is because of my background playing in the United States and Europe that the idea of EuroAmerican Hockey came about. I have seen first hand the differences between the styles. Along with my European playing experience, I will use my experience playing different positions to better coach kids at each level, in which ever position fits them best. We will focus on skills used in Europe with drills from all of the prominent European hockey countries, in addition to the North American concepts, to help players become the best they can be.
